I've always loved The Hunchback of Notre Dame ever since I first seen it as a kid. It's a story of social justice and anti-authoritarianism that anyone of all ages could enjoy. However, the original novel by Victor Hugo is a lot more dark as it depicted voyeurism, sex, and violence. As someone who is fond of NSFW content and politics, I thought of a little inside joke that Frollo might have also lusted over a queer nobleman, as most conservatives secretly lust over queer people. Then, I happened to make Raoulin "The Bibulous" De Caux, who would be the queer nobleman that Frollo lusts over. At first, I thought Raoulin would be just Frollo's hot boyfriend who would masturbate, drink, and have sex all day, but with the help of my friends on the Palace of Justice RP Discord server, I would learn that Raoulin would also be clingy with mommy and daddy issues. Then, this project would flourish with the likeliness of Victor Hugo's novel with the 1996 adaptation, with a dash of elements used in Game of Thrones (sex, violence, swearing, etc.). This is what The Lords of Notre Dame would be about...

Claude Frollo has always been reserved for almost all of his life. However, things would change as he would see Raoulin in one of his sexcapades with Jaqueline, a local prostitute in Paris. Problem is that Frollo suppressed his bisexuality since he was a young adult, and he secretly hoped that one day Raoulin would reach out to him to help him uncover things that he hasn't known about himself. Raoulin De Caux, meanwhile, struggled for love and care in his life, and he mostly slept with men more than women. Then, as he would see Frollo express a more affectionate feeling, Raoulin would see potential and gave affection back. Thus, their relationship right under the Kingdom's and Church's noses would begin.

Ten years would pass as an ex-lover and prostitute named Jaqueline would come back and a bastard son named Beau would come to Raoulin's life. With the help of his trusty artist servant Gabriel, a person who traveled far and wide to France, and Francis, who is Frollo's lieutenant, Raoulin would be married with Jaqueline while Frollo would perform adelphopoiesis, a ritual which spiritually bind him and Raoulin to fraternity, while they remained lovers. Thus, it would have the perfect life for all of them, but who knows when that would end...
